Brookdale Troy is an outstanding facility. My MIL was confined to her home after a fall and back surgery, unable to leave her home without hands-on help due to stairs and no longer able to drive. She was dependent on family/friends for all meals, shopping, transportation, organizing her medications, etc. She was getting depressed due to lack of socialization and was losing all independence. Brookdale was a life saver for her and us as a family. Their staff are phenomenal and truly put the residents and their families first. Gil was our point of contact and he is 100% involved in every aspect of transition. Every staff member (nursing, dining, maintenance, house keeping) has been absolutely lovely to my MIL and the entire family. She is now safe, going to exercise classes, has 3 wonderful meals a day, interacts with all of the residents, participates in daily group activities, and is smiling again. I cannot say enough about this facility. It is very clean inside and out from the residents rooms, sunroom, beauty salon, to the outside courtyards. All of her friends who have come to visit have been thoroughly impressed with every aspect of her new life. Though there were a few bumps here and there in the beginning, the staff worked with her and the family 100% of the way to make this transition as smooth as possible. An absolute 10/10 experience!
